HOW TO MAKE A HANGING MORNING BOARD FOR CIRCLE TIME
We’ve had this morning board hanging above our kitchen table. The day starts with us going over it, with something there for all of the kids. Kind of our own circle time. The printables shown are from my morning board pack available in my shop. I’ve also made some free morning board printables you can download for your morning board. You can find those in this post.

This is what I’ve included:
WEATHER
LETTER
NUMBER
SHAPE
COLOR
TIER 2 WORDS
This weekly learning board is very easy to make. I used a canvas panel to start:
I wrapped 1st side like a present, and hot glued ends. I then covered other side, folding over edge of fabric, and gluing along side of panel. After crisscrossing ribbon on side that would show when board was flipped over, and embellishing, I glued ribbon around sides to cover any messy ends. A simple eye hook was inserted into top, with a ribbon slid through to make a loop for hanging.

Now for what goes on it. These are my main supplies:
Colorful Cardstock
Sheet Protectors
Dry Erase Markers
Fun Push Pins
Paper Cutter
For the letters, numbers, etc., I just cut cardstock pieces in different colors, cut out each item to attach to it, and glued on. You can easily use your own drawings and writing on paper for these, but if you want them ready to go, don’t forget to check out my free printables above.
The last piece is the day and date. I decided to do this as a write-on, instead of more print outs to pin on, so I can write messages on there – Happy Birthday, TGIF, 20 days until Christmas, etc. This was pretty simple, too. Cut a piece of cardstock to the height you want, making sure it is 11″ long. Insert into sheet protector, and cut of some of end if needed so you’re not having to fold over too many times. Fold and tape. It is now ready to pin up, and write in new date daily. Note: Once I got this laminator, I redid it the easy way!
Now you can hang it! Just add on your other pieces with the cute and colorful pins.
