I love fruit, and eating it plain is no problem for me. But I must admit, when I see it served with a creamy dip, I get a little overly excited. Thinking I’d whip up a little treat for the kids’ lunch one day, I decided to make an easy fruit dip with whatever I had in the fridge. Here’s what I love about the concoction I came up with: I can make it in 2 minutes, I usually have the ingredients on hand, and it allows you to taste the fruit, then kicks in the dip flavor just a second after. You can easily adjust the amounts of recipe to make the serving size you need.
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup whipped topping (cool whip type – the redi-whip ends up too watery)
1/4 cup italian sweet cream creamer (you could try a different flavor of this, too, but this is my favorite)
1 dollop more of whipped topping
Mix first 2 ingredients well, then slowly and thoroughly add in creamer. If you want it a little thicker, this is where you add in the extra dollop of whipped topping.
Put it in a pretty bowl, because that makes everything taste better 😀 , and serve. Easy, delicious, and kid approved!
